About Us
The Sport Administration (SPAD) and Sport & Recreation Management (SRM) degree programs prepare undergraduate and graduate students for a variety of positions in the sport/recreation, entertainment, and event industries.
The undergraduate SPAD program currently offers a Bachelor of Science in Sport Administration, a minor in Sport Administration, and a minor in Event Planning in conjunction with Hospitality Management and Recreation, Park and Tourism. Kent State University's SPAD program (first offered in 2006) is the first program in Ohio to offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Administration/Sport Management.
The graduate SRM program offers concentrations in Sport and Recreation Management and Sport Studies. The SRM program also houses the graduate Athletic Coaching concentration.
Sport Administration faculty are committed to providing students with the valued resources and education necessary to enhance knowledge and practice within the industry.
