Minor in Child and Youth Practice

The Child and Youth Practice minor teaches students how to work effectively with children and adolescents as well as their families in a variety of settings, including, but not limited to, residential treatment, group care, community youth services, foster care and after-school programs. Students learn how to promote positive youth development within diverse communities through developmentally appropriate programming that emphasizes the strengths and resources youth bring with them.
