- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be an Ohio Resident
- Must have earned an associate degree from one of the following colleges, prior to enrolling at Kent State:
- Cuyahoga Community College
- Lakeland Community College
- Lorain Community College
- Stark State College
- Did not enroll at another college or university after earning the associate degree
- Must have minimum 2.50 cumulative college grade point average (GPA average from all colleges the student attended previously). The cumulative college GPA will be calculated by Kent State University.
- Admitted to the Kent Campus of Kent State University as a new transfer student
- By April 27 for summer
- By August 10 for fall
- Two weeks prior to the start of spring (date to be determined)
- You must be enrolled in your first bachelor's degree program
- Enroll as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours) each semester at the Kent Campus
- Cannot be combined with the Academic Transfer Award or President’s Transfer Award
- Annual Amount: $2,500
