Academic Plan Requirements

Undergraduate students must earn a minimum 2.0 semester GPA and complete 67% of their attempted credit hours during the approved semester (undergraduate students cited for Maximum Time Frame see next requirements).

Undergraduate students cited for Maximum Time Frame that submitted a Maximum Time Frame Form, will receive financial aid only for the courses listed on their form. They are required to complete 100% of their attempted credit hours and earn a minimum 2.0 semester GPA during their approved semester as terms of their academic plan.

Grades of W, IN, IP, NF, SF, and F will negatively affect completion rate. Completion rate is determined by dividing earned hours by attempted hours for the semester.

For example: If a student attempted 12 credit hours for the approved semester but only successfully completed 6 out of those 12 credit hours, the completion rate would be 50% (6/12=50%). This student would not be eligible to receive financial aid for the next semester.

Continuing Financial Aid Eligibility

Eligibility to receive financial aid for the semester following the semester a student’s appeal was approved will be reviewed after the semester approved grades are finalized by the Registrar's Office.

Students who fail to meet the terms of their academic plan will not be approved to receive aid the following semester. If the student experienced a new circumstance during the semester of the academic plan they are permitted to submit a new appeal.
