Scholarships for Freshmen Outside of Ohio for Fall 2020

You will be considered for the incoming freshmen scholarships listed below by submitting a complete application for admission to Kent State by Feb. 1, 2020.  You must be a U.S. citizen and plan to enroll full-time at the Kent Campus.

All awards are four-year renewable scholarships and students can receive multiple scholarship awards.  Scholarships can be applied only to tuition instructional and general fees, except for the Honors Distinction Award in Residence.

The cumulative high school GPA used for scholarship purposes will be the 7th semester high school GPA.  Kent State will use the highest cumulative GPA posted on the high school transcript.  Students admitted before the end of their 7th semester can submit an updated transcript by February 1, 2020, for scholarship reconsideration.

For scholarship purposes, Kent State will use the highest ACT/SAT composite score from a single test date, prior to the end of December 2019.  Test scores from test dates in 2020 will not be accepted for scholarship decisions.
