What are the steps to push my FlashLine password into my McAfee Drive Encryption (MDE) account?

The steps listed below will show you how to push your current FlashLine password into your MDE account on the server. If you are unsure if you have a MDE account, please check with your local support person.

 

Performing the steps below may be necessary if you are: new to the university, your computer was recently encrypted, or you are receiving a timeout error when attempting to login to MDE.

 

Pushing your FlashLine password into your MDE account

 

Step 1. Log into FlashLine from either http://www.kent.edu or http://flashline.kent.edu.

Step 2.Click on profile photo to edit account profile

Step 3.  Under McAfee Drive Encryption (MDE) Click on “Synchronize Password”.

*Once your FlashLine password has been pushed into your MDE account on the server; you should see the following message:

Synchronizing your Computer with the MDE Server

 

Once you have pushed your FlashLine password into your MDE account on the server, you will need to synchronize your computer to pull the password change back down to your computer.
