Where is your hometown?

I am from Ondo, Nigeria.

Why did you choose Kent State University?

Through thorough research and deep introspection, I arrived at the resolute conclusion that Kent State University perfectly aligns with my academic aspirations. What do you like most about living in/near Kent? Do you have a favorite local spot or activity?

Kent presents an exceptional fusion of suburban allure and a lively college-town ambiance. The downtown area, though compact, is full of great atmosphere and hosts a multitude of captivating events such as farmers' market, bars, nightclubs, music festivals among other things. Furthermore, the city has an extensive array of dining choices, encompassing everything from fast-food restaurants to other culinary services.

What is your favorite KSU memory?

My favorite KSU memory was the visit to May 4 memorial museum. I was able to learn the rich history of KSU students' activism which gives the popularity and respect that KSU is enjoying till the present times.

What are some differences you've noticed in being a graduate student (expectations, pressures, visibility, etc.) than those of an undergraduate student?

The graduate students are expected to do lots of reading, engage in discussion with classmates and professors during a seminar class, attain higher grades among others. Overall, there are higher expectations and pressures for graduate students than undergraduate students.

What advice do you have for incoming graduate students?

The advice I like to give to incoming graduate students is that they should remain focus, work hard, socialize and most importantly, take care of their health. Whenever they are having any form of challenges, they should never hesitate to seek for help.
