On this new hire benefit page, you will find valuable information and resources to help you make an informed decision when it comes to benefits for you and your family.

As you review your benefits information, keep in mind that there are deadlines to submit your elections. Use the "Helpful Checklist and Deadline Dates" below so that you can take full advantage of the great benefits Kent State has to offer.

For detailed information about Kent State's benefit packages, use the menu on the left. Additionally, you will be invited to attend a New Hire Orientation Presentation (PDF) that provides important information for our new employees which includes orientation of your available benefits.

FINANCIAL WELLNESS SEMINARS

The University Benefits Department will be hosting a series of Educational Seminars on Financial Wellness and Planning for new employees (first 90 days) at Kent State University.

Come and learn more about:

•    Financial Wellness and what that really means
•    State of Ohio Retirement Systems (OPERS, STRS, ARP)
•    Opportunities to increase your retirement earnings
•    Social Security and the Windfall Elimination Provision

Seminars (PDF) will be held on the last Thursday of the each month in Heer Hall, Room 202 from Noon – 1 pm. Lunch will be provided.
