This course focuses on theoretical study and analysis of Western art music from the late Baroque to the early 20th century. Emphasis is placed on both the refinement of existing theoretical skills and detailed score study in various genres ranging from keyboard music to orchestral works. The goal is to deepen analytical/theoretical knowledge and apply that knowledge pedagogically.
