- You must be in good academic standing at Kent State University with a minimum GPA of 2.5 to apply to Meijo University.

Get to know your host community by participating in MU's Cultural Experience Program, which offers free excursions for international students throughout the semester. In the past, these excursions have included visits to local elementary and high schools, exposure to traditional Japanese arts, such as calligraphy, tea ceremonies, and flower arrangement, and field trips to nearby cities and sites such as Kyoto, Ise Shrine, and Inuyama Castle. Study abroad students can also connect with local students through the Student Assistants Buddy Program at MU. This study abroad experience is run through the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP), a network of over 250 institutions in over 50 countries. Kent State University and ISEP have had a partnership for over 10 years. This partnership allows KSU students to apply to any of their programs.
