Camp Dates, Times & Weekly Themes

PEAK is offered during weekdays in the summer starting in June, and ending in August. Please see the expandable accordions below for more details and information regarding dates and themes.

The PEAK Summer Camp will not operate during the week of July 4 (June 30 – July 4).

Important Camp Times:

  • 7:15 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.| Before Care ($30 per week)
  • 8:30 a.m. – 8:55 a.m. | Camper Drop Off
  • 9 a.m. | Camp Programming begins
  • 3:30 p.m. | Camp Programming ends
  • 3:45 – 4:30 p.m. | Camper Pick-Up
  • 4 -  6 p.m. | After Care ($40 per week)
Drop-Off Times and Instructions
  • All campers will begin their day at the SRWC, and should be dropped off inside the main entrance. Please check-in with a PEAK Lead Counselor before leaving. 
  • You may drop your camper(s) off for PEAK any time between 8:30 a.m. – 8:55 a.m.
    •  If you arrive later than 8:55 A.M., you should walk to the front desk of the SRWC and they will contact a PEAK staff member to come check you in.
  • During drop off, you may briefly park your car in the circular drop off zone located in front of the main entrance to the building.
  • Walk your camper inside the building, and check-in with one of our staff members. They will then escort your camper down to the basketball courts. 
  • Please be prepared to tell the PEAK staff your preferred pick-up time (listed below). 
Pick-Up Times and Instructions
  • Only Authorized pickup people may check out a camper, and they must show a valid photo ID. Please contact the camp director to add an authorized pickup person to the list. 
  • Campers can be picked within one of our designated timeslots: 
    • Early pick up: 3:45 – 4:00 PM
    • Mid pick up: 4:00 – 4:15 PM 
    • Late pick up 4:15 – 4:30 PM 
    •  After Care pick up 4:30 – 6:00 PM* 
      • Available for $40 per week 
  • During ideal weather conditions, campers can be picked up outside the front entrance of the SRWC. 
  • Authorized pickups are encouraged to remain in their car, and pull up to the circular drive in front of the building, where our staff will check out, and escort your camper to the vehicle. (See image below). 
  • In poor weather conditions, campers will remain inside for pick up, and the authorized pickup person will need to enter the building to check out their camper. 

At PEAK, we strive to provide a balanced and enriching experience for every child, ensuring that each week is filled with both fun and educational activities. Throughout the week, your camper can expect a variety of exciting adventures, including swimming, rock climbing, and playing a variety of games. We also focus on wellness education, helping campers learn about healthy habits, teamwork, and personal growth. Creative games and hands-on activities are regularly incorporated, encouraging creativity and problem-solving. Additionally, each week is centered around a unique theme, with fun activities designed to spark imagination and enhance the overall camp experience. Our goal is to create a well-rounded, engaging environment where children can have fun, learn new skills, and make lasting memories.

Week 1: June 1 – June 5 | Theme – PEAK Sports Extravaganza
  • Description: Get ready for a week of high-energy games and sports! Campers will learn and play a variety of sports, from soccer and basketball to relay races and team challenges. This week will emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendly competition.
  •  Learning Objectives: Develop positive sportsmanship and teamwork in a fun, structured environment.
Week 2: June 8 – June 12 | Theme – Innovation at its PEAK
  • Description: Dive into the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math! Campers will participate in hands-on activities that spark creativity and problem-solving. 
  • Learning Objectives: Enhance critical thinking and creativity through hands-on STEM projects. 
Week 3: June 15 – June 18* | Theme – PEAK Around the World
  • *No camp on Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth 
  • Description: Take a trip across the globe without leaving camp! Throughout the week, campers will "visit" different continents, learning about unique games, traditions, and cultural activities from around the world. 
  • Learning Objectives: Gain an appreciation for different cultures through interactive activities, and playing traditional games from various countries. 
Week 4: June 22 – June 26 | Theme – Adventure Week with PEAK
  • Description: In collaboration with the Adventure Center, campers will take on thrilling challenges like rock climbing, archery, and a variety of exciting physical activities. 
  • Learning Objectives: Develop confidence, and problem-solving skills by navigating challenges and activities. 
Week 5: July 6 – July 10 | Theme – A PEAK Beyond the Stars
  • Description: Blast off into a week of space exploration! Campers will explore the wonders of the universe by creating fun planet crafts and learning about the mysteries of space. They’ll also have the chance to visit our planetarium for an out-of-this-world experience. 
  • Learning Objectives: Foster creativity and imagination, and develop critical thinking skills through space-themed activities. 
Week 6: July 13 – July 17 | Theme – Super PEAK Week
  • Description: Unleash your inner superhero! This week, campers will participate in heroic challenges that test their strength, speed, and kindness. They will also get to meet real-life heroes from the community, as we are expecting a visit from the Kent Fire Department. 
  • Learning Objectives: Learn the value of bravery, teamwork, and community service as they interact with real-life heroes and gain insight into their roles. 
Week 7: July 20 – July 24 | Theme – The PEAK of Talent
  • Description: It’s showtime! Campers will discover and showcase their talents in music, art, dance, and performance. They’ll participate in creative workshops, friendly competitions, and a talent show at the end of the week, celebrating self-expression and creativity. 
  • Learning Objectives: Build confidence by performing or sharing talents in a supportive environment, and encourage creativity and self-expression through arts and performance activities
Week 8: July 27 – July 31 | Theme – Tidal PEAK Week
  • Description: Cool off with a week of water-filled fun! Campers will enjoy water relays, slip-and-slide races, water balloon games, and other refreshing activities. They'll learn about water safety and teamwork while making a splash to close out the summer. 
  • Learning Objectives: Understand basic water safety principles in a fun, supervised environment, and develop teamwork skills through water-based cooperative games. 
Week 9: August 3 – August 7 | Theme – Eco-PEAK: Sustainability Week
  • Description: Understand the principles of sustainability through activities that promote environmental awareness, such as recycling, conservation, and caring for nature. 
  • Learning Objectives: Build teamwork and leadership skills by working together on projects that emphasize shared responsibility and community care.
