A Moderate Number of Graduate and International Students Will Be Looking For Additional Off-Campus Housing

POSTED: Sep. 26, 2017

According to a June 2017 student survey, graduate students are relatively happy with housing options.  They prefer to live off-campus and proximity to campus is not important. The cost of rent/utilities is the driving decision factor.  There is a small demand for additional graduate and international housing, but it should be off-campus and mixed with other housing types.

Housing Survey Analysis

The Kent Campus can house 29% of undergraduate.  KSU can house an above average portion of undergraduates compared to its peers, which on average houses 24% of it undergraduates.  The Kent Campus’s high proportion of traditional-style beds indicates a priority in housing underclassmen.

Analysis indicates that the Kent Campus on-campus housing is adequately providing housing for undergraduate students, and that the Kent community is adequately providing upper classmen and graduate housing.  Is that your experience?
