1. Contact Eli Mallahan, Assistant Director of Competitive Sports and Outdoor Facilities at emallaha@kent.edu for guidance on starting a new Club Sport. We may be able to put you in touch with other prospective members that have shared an interest in forming a similar club.
  2. If we do not currently offer a sport, and you want to form a team, your first step should be recruiting at least 3-5 other people who are interested and committed to forming this team, and its long-term success.
  3. Once your group is established, you will need to begin the process to Register as a New Student Organization through the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) and complete those necessary requirements.
  4. After you have completed those steps, you can contact Eli Mallahan, Assistant Director of Competitive Sports and Outdoor Facilities at emallaha@kent.edu for RecWell’s additional requirements for starting a new Club Sport
  5. The Assistant Director of Competitive Sports and Outdoor Facilities. reserves the right to deny application which is determined to be of high risk to participants, may pose negative publicity to the Club Sports program, may not serve the interests of the department, may conflict with similar programs offered, may not be financially self-sufficient, or would place an unnecessary stress on other programs currently offered by Recreation and Wellness Services.
