IN A FLASH: Fashion in the Streets

It's New York Fashion Week (NYFW)! Students from Kent State University's New York City Fashion rolled their creations through the streets of New York en route to tonight's joint fashion show with students from IFA Paris. The event venue, Lightbox, is just blocks away from Kent State New York City Fashion, in the heart of the city's garment district.

Tonight's show represents the second joint collaboration with IFA Paris, with generous support from the Garment District Alliance and New York Film Academy. The event promises to be a spectacular, immersive experience that will fill the runway with the talents of student designers from both institutions.

A livestream of the event on Sept. 6, 2023, can be viewed here, beginning at 6 p.m. EDT.

"Last year's joint show was a testament to the magic that happens when creative minds unite," said Ann Mariko Walter, director of Kent State New York City Fashion. "This year, we are raising the bar even higher. Our students and alumni are eagerly looking forward to showcasing their ingenuity and exploring how the fusion of global cultures can lead to a revolutionary era in the fashion industry."
