Tatee Sakr's path to success in the fashion world started at Kent State University. As a 19-year-old immigrant to the U.S., Sakr chose Kent State University because it was close to her new home in Cleveland and had a reputable fashion design program. Now an industry professional, she is giving back as a key faculty member.
The ever-popular, award-winning musical "Annie" is now playing at Kent State University's Porthouse Theatre at Blossom Music Center, July 19- August 4.

The Kent State University Museum celebrated the opening of two new fashion collection exhibits, one of which honors the Kent State School of Fashion’s founders and another the style of Hollywood legend Katharine Hepburn. During the celebration, retiring museum director Sarah Rogers was honored, and incoming director Sarah Spinner Liska, Ph.D., was introduced.
Kent State University celebrated Juneteenth on Risman Plaza and the Student Green on June 18 with food, dancing and music.
