Biography

Dr. Mary M. Dellmann-Jenkins is a Professor in Human Development and Family Studies,. She earned a B.S. in Pre-School/Kindergarten Education, M. S. in Child Development, and a PhD in Human Development; all degrees were earned at the University of Wisconsin Madison. Her research interests are in the area of family relationships and dynamics in later life, with a particular focus on family members (across generations) in caregiving roles to elderly relatives. Dr. Dellmann-Jenkins has published in journals such as The Gerontologist, Family Relations, and Aging and Human Development. She is currently conducting a research project exploring social factors, personal factors, and musical factors and the impact of music participation on personal well-being across the adulthood.
