Join us for a MACtion-packed evening with fellow Golden Flashes as the Kent State Men’s Basketball team takes on the University of Akron Zips. Prior to tipoff, enjoy a spirit-filled alumni tailgate in the Kent Student Center’s second floor dining room, complete with dinner and great company.

“THE WIZ:” THE EMERALD CITY EXPERIENCE

Follow the yellow brick road to our reception featuring heavy appetizers and drinks before experiencing a beloved Broadway gem, "The Wiz,” directed by Ansley Valentine, the 2024-25 Roe Green Visiting Director. The show infuses L. Frank Baum’s "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" with a dazzling mix of rock, gospel and soul music. This timeless tale of Dorothy’s adventures through the Land of Oz is a fun, modern musical.

Join us for an evening that celebrates the talent and creativity of Kent State’s emerging filmmakers. This screening blends the excitement of a film festival with the welcoming spirit of our campus community. Enjoy a wine and small bites reception before we showcase a curated selection of five short films, documentaries and narratives from Kent State students and alumni.

Join new museum director Sarah Spinner Liska, Ph.D., J.D. as she welcomes you for an engaging evening exploring the costumes, clothing and memorabilia of Katharine Hepburn. The evening will begin with a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception, followed by a tour of the exhibit given by Joanne Fenn, collections manager. Additionally, we will have the option to tour the new textiles exhibition by Hildur Ásgeirsdóttir Jónsson, '91, BFA '95, a School of Art alumna.
