Training

The rigorous 582 hours of training and field work at the Kent campus Police Academy are driven by the standards mandated by the State of Ohio.  The guidelines for this training are set by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC). As part of the approval process, OPOTC certified that the Kent campus Police Academy complies with all statutory requirements (topics, hours, facilities and process).
