Bill Benoit

Bill Benoit is the president of University Hospitals (UH) Portage Medical Center. He joined UH as vice president of Rehabilitation Services for the health system. He was the chief operating officer at UH Geauga Medical Center in 2014, and the chief operating officer for UH Portage in October 2016. Benoit was instrumental in integrating the hospital into the UH system. Under his leadership, the hospital has undergone various improvements, including adding physicians in cardiology, digestive disease, orthopedics, and other specialties. His current role as president involves focusing on patient satisfaction, quality care delivery, physician recruitment, and program development to meet the community’s needs. Previously, Benoit held leadership roles with several large health systems in Ohio and Texas. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Toledo and holds master’s degree in business administration and occupational therapy. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
