For Kent State University international relations junior Beatrice Cahill-Camden, moving to New York meant more than just experiencing the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple —it meant gaining political experience at the national level.

International Cook off

Kent State international students compete for the prize of “best dish” at the sixth annual International Cook-off competition. The free event is held each November at the end of International Education Week. Teams representing Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Nepal, Saudi Arabia and South Korea participated this year.

The Kent State University Airport hosted its fifth annual Props-4-Paws collection event this fall and doubled its goal, collecting 5,434 pounds of supplies, including toys and 6,213 cans of food for animals for Portage and Summit county animal shelters and rescue organizations.
