IN A FLASH: Using Sound to See

Sonography uses high-frequency sound images to capture moving images that are used to observe internal structures for medical diagnosis. Students in the radiology program at Kent State University at Salem have hands-on learning experiences using real equipment to observe real-time images.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) is one of the concentrations students at Kent State's Salem Campus can choose in the programs for the Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology (RADT) degree and the Bachelor of Radiologic and Imaging Sciences (BRIT) degree.

Kent State's Regional Campuses offer bachelor's degree, associate degree and certificate programs tailored to meet the needs of the communities they serve.
