More Than $1 Million Managed Through Golden Flash Asset Management Group

The Golden Flash Asset Management (GFAM) Group is composed of Kent State students who are interested in finance. The team manages an investment fund of over $1 million in assets from the Kent State Foundation. The group currently has 26 active members.

Daniel Volpe, senior finance student and president of Golden Flash Asset Management, said that students receive the opportunity to connect what they are learning in class to real-world situations.

“We’re pitching stocks, we’re trading investments,” Volpe said. “You get to learn in a whole new way.”

According to Volpe, the fact that Kent State University has offered such generous funding is a true testament to the trust they have in their students and curriculum.
