  • The Rock on Kent State's Front Campus wasn't always where it is today. 

  • Nationally, Sept. 15 marks the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. This year, Kent State is celebrating the 2023 Hispanic Heritage Month as Avanzando Juntos: Moving Forward Together with numerous events and celebrations.  

  • This week, you can use a waterjet to create your own nameplate and learn more about the makerspaces in the DI Hub Reactor.

  • After a lifetime of challenges, including more than 20 procedures and surgeries for a heart defect she had since birth, Kent State alumna Katherine Herrmann was determined to achieve her dreams. In May 2022, she graduated with her bachelor's degree followed by a life-saving heart transplant. She's now a graduate student in Kent State's clinical mental health counseling program.

  • For Kent State University alumna Erica Wilson-Domer, passion in helping others is key to her success. On July 1, 2023, Wilson-Domer became the new president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio. 

  • First-generation, non-traditional student Yalanda Cunningham knows that Kent State has her back. After graduating with her associate's degree from a community college in Kalamazoo, Cunningham decided to finish her bachelor’s degree at Kent State University. “I believe you can go so much further in your life,” Cunningham said, “if you had a solid background in education,” she said.
