  • Kent State has been named a Regional Programming Center by the Ohio Cyber Range Institute, joining a statewide network to enhance cybersecurity education and workforce development. As part of this initiative, the university will contribute to various programming activities and host outreach events in Northeast Ohio, furthering its commitment to excellence in cybersecurity engineering education.

  • On July 19 and 26, Kent State University Admissions welcomes high school students and transfer students to campus for student-led tours. Visiting students and their parents learn about life at Kent State, support services, programs of study and, sometimes, get to meet campus celebrities.

  • Former Kent State University football player Will Matthews continues to find success with his Southern Comfort Kitchen food truck and restaurant. He first came up with the idea while a student at the university.

  • Former Kent State University men's golf standout Corey Conners will need to update his resume to read "two-time Olympian", as the Listowel, Ontario native has been nominated to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

  • All eyes have been on Northeast Ohio the past several weeks as the Kent State University and The University of Akron’s men’s and women’s basketball teams battled it out for the MAC championship title. It wasn’t always such a bitter rivalry between these two Northeast Ohio legends, however. Just look at this old footage we found of Flash and Zippy bonding back in the day.

  • The Kent State women’s basketball team will play in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2002. Champions do so much on their own, just look at the stats. But this championship team is supported by its members, its coaches and the Kent State Community.
