- We encourage you to keep a list of necessary updates and begin implementation after 12:01 p.m. on Oct. 29.
Relevant now through Oct. 24
The Oct. 6 two-hour hands-on training will be the last session in this series and it will teach you how to create content and edit your Kent State University website in our Drupal 7 environment, as well as learn how to add images, videos, links and buttons, and manage the site navigation. This training is relevant for updates that need made to your website now through Oct. 24 at 1 a.m.
CAUTION: There is a soft content freeze in place Monday, Oct. 24 at 1 a.m. through Saturday, Oct. 29 at noon.
If you find you MUST make a content update between Oct. 24-29, you will need to make them twice - one in your live site in Drupal 7 and again in your new, identical Drupal 9 site which launches Oct. 29. As a result between Oct. 24 at 1 a.m. and Oct. 29 at noon, we encourage you to:
- Make a list of necessary edits and implement those revisions after Oct. 29 at noon.
- Maintain a change log on your computer and set a reminder on your calendar to replicate those changes in the new site on Monday, Oct. 31.
Thereafter, while some of these steps will be similar, the interface will change with the transition to Drupal 9 on Oct. 29 at noon. As a result, you are encouraged to attend one of the Drupal 9 training sessions.
