The ABA Standing Committee on paralegals has defined a paralegal as a "person, qualified by education, training or work experience who is employed or retained by a lawyer, law office, corporation, governmental agency or other entity and who performs specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible. Paralegals may not provide legal services directly to the public except as permitted by law."

Kent State University’s School of Art is one of Ohio’s top schools in visual art, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in Art Education, Art History, and Studio Art. Our program offers a wide array of studio disciplines, expert faculty, and a place for fine and liberal arts to come together in creative and inspiring ways.

The College of Education, Health and Human Services (EHHS) offers 18 undergraduate programs, 24 graduate degrees, and 13 doctoral programs. Graduates go on to serve as leaders in a wide variety of fields, ranging from education, counseling, and health care to hospitality, recreation, and sport.

Office of the Provost

The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 630 program is hosted at Kent State University and designed as an elective program for students interested in learning the disciplines stressed by the United States Air Force. AFROTC prides itself on allowing students to try out the program their freshman and sophomore years without any obligation to join. Students that are up to the Air Force ROTC challenge will receive more specialized training while also finishing their degree.
