The National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation Grant Committee recently announced that Jennifer Rivera has been awarded $15,000 from it’s 2022 Graduate Research Grant for doctoral applicants. This grant program funds Graduate research in strength and conditioning at the master’s and doctoral levels. Two teams from sub-Saharan Africa made their debut on Thursday at Kent State University’s annual International Cook-off sponsored by the Office of Global Education. The entry of Team Rwanda and Team Nigeria into the annual cooking contest reflects Kent State’s growing relations in sub-Saharan Africa which are resulting in new groups of international students on campus. Residents of Kent are ready to ring in the holiday season with the return of Kent Skates this November. Kent Skates, presented by Ametek, is a partnership between the city of Kent, the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center, Main Street Kent and Kent State University. This is the second year these partners have helped bring the free rink to the public. Starting Nov. 19, the rink will be open to the public free of charge.
