Blackboard Learn is the university supported Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS is the application used to deliver course material (e.g., syllabi, assignments, grades, tests) via the Internet for face-to-face, hybrid, and fully online courses.
Blackboard Collaborate allows instructors to deliver synchronous content within the Blackboard Learn environment. This service is provided to anyone with a FlashLine account.
The same team who supports Blackboard Learn also implements a number of online applications to support instruction. Some are integrated within Learn while others are used to enable the creation of course materials deliverable via Learn. See descriptions below.

Kent State maintains a widespread wireless network for all students, faculty, and staff to complete university functions. Wireless coverage is available in all buildings including academic areas and residence halls, and is even available in select outdoor areas such as Risman Plaza and at intervals along the Esplanade.
In addition, Kent State offers a dedicated wireless network in the residence halls for gaming and entertainment devices.
If needed, faculty and staff may request a wired network port activation.
