Alumni Margaret Peebles, guest lighting designer for "Kent Dance Ensemble: No Permission Needed," gives talk in E. Turner Stump Theatre

The School of Theatre and Dance welcomed alumni Margaret Peebles, B.F.A. Lighting, '14, as the guest lighting designer for the "Kent Dance Ensemble: No Permission Needed" concert, held in E. Turner Stump Theatre April 8-10, 2022.  In a special afternoon session Peebles presented and discussed the lighting for the Kent Dance Ensemble concert and her career in New York. Peebles is a New York City-based live entertainment and exhibition lighting designer. Her most recent work includes "Sometime Child" at Theater for the New City and "Right About Now" at Pen + Brush Gallery. Other design credits include "Steel Magnolias" at Red House Arts Center (Syracuse, NY), "Objectively Reasonable" at Playwrights Local (Cleveland, OH), and "Waiting for Lefty" at Connecticut Repertory Theatre (Storrs, CT). Some notable assisting credits include Broadway productions of "Freestyle Love Supreme" and "Anastasia," "FUTURES" at the Smithsonian Museum of Arts & Industry (Washington D.C.), and "Coal Country" at the Public Theatre (NYC). Margaret is a proud member of United Scenic Artists 829.
