Kent State’s Online Master’s in Nursing Program Ranks in Top 50 Among Public Institutions by U.S. News in 2022 Best Online Programs Rankings

Kent State also recognized in Best Online Graduate Education Programs and Best Online MBA Programs rankings

U.S. News & World Report has named three Kent State University programs as U.S. News Best Online Programs for 2022. Kent State is recognized in the Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs, Best Online Graduate Education Programs and Best Online MBA Programs rankings. Its online master’s in nursing program ranks in the top 50 in the country among public institutions in the latest rankings released by U.S. News.

Kent State’s online master’s in nursing program, offered by the College of Nursing, vaulted up the list to No. 49 among public institutions, up from last year’s ranking of No. 66, making it the highest-ranked program in northern Ohio.

Kent State’s online master’s in nursing program prepares registered nurses for roles in advanced practice, education and healthcare administration. Students in this program develop a foundation for further postgraduate and doctoral-level study in nursing. Nurses beyond Northeast Ohio are able to take advantage of the College of Nursing’s excellent program.

We also take great pride in producing safe and competent Kent State nursing alumni.” 

Kent State’s online graduate education programs have again been recognized as the highest ranked at a public university in Northeast Ohio by U.S. News on its 2022 Best Online Graduate Education Programs list. This list compiles the rankings of online programs offering master’s degrees in education. Kent State’s online graduate education programs moved up one spot to No. 102 among public institutions. Among all institutions in the nation, the Kent State online graduate education programs rank at No. 130 on the list. This is the fifth year Kent State’s online graduate education programs have been ranked by U.S. News.

Kent State’s College of Education, Health and Human Services offers online master’s degrees in education in six program areas: Cultural Foundations, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Psychology, Educational Technology, Evaluation and Measurement, and Special Education.

Kent State’s Online MBA program, offered by the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship, is ranked among the Best Online MBA Programs for 2022. Among public universities in the state, Kent State’s Online MBA program is the highest-ranked program in northern Ohio. This is the fourth year Kent State’s Online MBA, which was launched in fall 2017, has been ranked by U.S. News. 

The Online MBA program provides students access to world-renowned faculty and strategically designed courses in a flexible format. The Kent State Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship’s Online MBA program is the only program in the nation to earn Quality Matters Program Design Certification, and all of Kent State’s core MBA courses are Quality Matters certified, meaning they meet rigorous standards of quality. In addition to the U.S. News ranking, the college recently ranked No. 23 in The Princeton Review’s Top 50 Online MBA Programs for 2022

The U.S. News 2022 Best Online Programs rankings assess master’s degrees and bachelor’s degrees administered mostly through distance education. The 2022 edition assessed 1,728 online degree programs and ranked 1,646 – both all-time highs. U.S. News ranked the online programs using five categories: engagement, expert opinion, faculty credentials and training, services and technologies, and student excellence. The goal of the rankings is to aid prospective students in researching which online programs are strongest in academics, course delivery, support services and affordability.
