You are considered a first-year student if you have not enrolled at another college or university since graduating from high school.
You are considered a transfer student if you have enrolled at another college or university since graduating from high school.
As a new, first-year undergraduate international applicant, you must finish secondary school in your home country by the time of enrollment to be eligible for university. Select this option to apply for an associate or bachelor’s degree.
If you have previously taken post-secondary or college-level courses, or if you are already enrolled in a post-secondary (higher education) institution, then you are required to apply as a transfer student.
Choose this option if you are interested in pursuing a graduate degree (master’s or doctoral). Please note that admission requirements and deadlines will vary from program to program.
Choose this option if you want to improve your English at our ESL Center. If you intend to enter a degree program under Conditional Admission, please apply directly to the degree program.

Choose this option if you are an Ohio high school student who wants to participate in College Credit Plus while in high school.
Choose this option if you are a former Kent State student or graduate who has not attended another college or university since you were previously enrolled.

Choose this option if you have received a bachelor's degree from a college or university, yet wish to take additional undergraduate courses.
