Weeks of Change

As we move through this academic year navigating an unfamiliar environment due to the pandemic, our commitment to facilitating immersive experiences organized around critical social issues persists.
Throughout the 2020-2021 academic year, Community Engaged Learning is organizing “Weeks of Change”: collections of in-person and virtual programs, events, and projects—ranging from direct service, to dialogues and discussions, to teach-ins—that focus on making change with regard to that week’s social issue.
This fall, we will have three Weeks of Change:
- September 28-October 2 – Voting Rights
- October 19-October 24 – The LGBTQ+ Movement
- November 14-November 20 – Hunger and Homelessness
Each week will have its own webpage, which will include some background information, a schedule, and, after the week concludes, a Continued Engagement guide to provide resources to community members interested in continuing to make change in that area.
As you participate in Week of Change events and post on social media, please be sure to use the hashtag “#WeekOfChange” and tag our office’s account (@kentstatecel) in each post!
