My first year at Kent State had a lot of ups and downs. Coming to school far from home was a big adjustment for me, but I quickly met some great friends through living in my residence hall. My Resident Assistants in Stopher/Johnson were amazing and put on so many fun events that made me feel so much more at home here and involved in our community. Living in the Honors College Living Learning Community has been one of my favorite parts of being at college and has introduced me to so many great people. Second semester, I joined Her Campus and met many more inspiring college women that helped me find my purpose here at Kent State. I also found my passion for sustainability and discovered that I want to pursue it at as a career through my professors in the Fashion School. I never expected to find myself in Ohio, but Kent State University has truly made me feel at home here.
