What were some highlights of your first year? Were there offices or specific individuals that helped you during your transition?

My first year here at Kent State has been a smooth transition. I have been able to get involved in many organizations that have helped me find my home and my purpose here at Kent State. Living in the residence halls is how I met some of my best friends. My Resident Assistant was a very helpful resource within my transition and has become a great friend to me. I was selected to be a part of the Honor's Leadership Academy, and our instructors within that course were huge assets to me during my transition. Another big part of my healthy transition to college was joining my sorority, Sigma Delta Tau, and taking leadership roles within my chapter. I recently became involved with Undergraduate Student Government and it has expanded my knowledge and network on this campus as well. Kent State truly has a home for everyone and I feel blessed to have taken advantage of all the great opportunities here that have made my transition to college so smooth and life changing.
