What were some highlights of your first year? Were there offices or specific individuals that helped you during your transition?
I got accepted into the Provost's Leadership Academy where the faculty and mentors helped me adjust to campus and had my back through anything I would need. I had roommate conflicts my first semester in which I had a wonderful experience with the Resident Assistants on my floor. They helped me through the process, were always there for me, and allowed me to get through the first semester. Math has been very difficult, however my teacher this semester has made it a better experience. He cared about my success and was constantly available to help with areas of confusion. I am also in choir in which my teacher is like another parent to the entire class. She is also constantly available to assist with anything going on in our lives. Lastly, my interactions through the Honors College and the College of Business have been very helpful in guiding me towards my path and future career.
