Alex Diaz Cambeiro

Alex Diaz Cambeiro is a program outreach consultant for Kent State University School of Fashion’s study away New York City location, where she optimizes process operations, manages NYC social media platforms, and program outreach aspects of a study away facility. In this role, she has had an immediate impact on social media channels by increasing engagement through unique content development and evolving office operations via industry-related processes supporting program initiatives. Prior to this role, she was a global design operations and strategy leader in various Fortune 500 companies such as Banana Republic, Gap Inc., Hanesbrands Inc., Victoria’s Secret PINK, as well as smaller retailers like Dots and independent start-ups.

Alex brings an extensive background from the fashion industry managing design, product development & creative teams through complex business challenges and maximizing operational efficiencies. Throughout her many years of experience, she has implemented many short- and long-term strategies to drive successful results and cultivate team-oriented environments that drive strategic growth.

Alex graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Psychology. Upon graduation, she moved to New York City where she began her career in finance, then transitioned to follow her passion in the fashion industry. She currently resides in Staten Island, NY with her husband, two children and rescue dog.
