The School of Art Collection and Galleries at Kent State University present “Kent State National Ceramics Invitational” from February 22 – March 17, 2018 at the Downtown Gallery.  The exhibition was curated by Assistant Professor in Ceramics at the School of Art, Peter Christian Johnson and includes artists Kyle Johns, Shalya Marsh and Sara Parent-Ramos.

The School of Art Collection and Galleries and the School of Art at Kent State University present an exhibition of recent work by local artist, m coy at the Downtown Gallery in Kent.  Join us for the opening reception of "m - current works: a selection of art by m coy” on Thursday, January 18 from 5-7 pm at the Downtown Gallery (141 E. Main Street). The exhibition will be on view through February 17, 2018. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

The School of Art Collection and Galleries and the School of Art at Kent State University present a curated exhibition of recent works by current M.F.A. graduate students.  Join us for the opening reception of "MFA 2018” on Thursday, January 18 from 5-7 pm at the CVA Gallery (325 Terrace Drive). The exhibition will be on view through February 16, 2018. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.  A full color catalog will be available at the CVA Gallery for $10.

Downtown Gallery September 28 - October 28, 2017 Join us for a reception for Table Service, featuring functional ceramic tableware created by Northern Ohio Clay members. The reception will be on Thursday, September 28 from 5-7 pm at the Downtown Gallery in Kent. The work included in the show ranges from tea pots, bowls, vases, serving trays, mugs and other functional ceramic pieces, masterfully crafted by local clay artists.  The reception and the exhibition are both free and open to the public. On view through October 28, 2017.

August 5 - September 3, 2017 Eells Gallery The School of Art Collection and Galleries presents Bubble, Pop, Electric from August 5 – September 3, 2017 at Eells Gallery, located in Blossom Music Center.  The show is curated by grad student, Lindsey James and features five paintings by undergraduate student, Kade Marsili alongside work from the School of Art Collection. The work chosen from the collection includes three serigraph prints by Clarence Holbrook Carter.
