Where is your hometown?
I am from Kent, Ohio.
Why did you choose Kent State University?
Kent State University is a very welcoming place for people of all races, classes, and cultures which fascinated me and facilitated my decision to join Kent State.
What do you like most about living in/near Kent? Do you have a favorite local spot or activity?
The vibrant and friendly atmosphere is what I like most. I enjoy the downtown area, especially during the winter when Kent Skates is available.
What is your favorite KSU memory?
I joined the Kent State community during the time when COVID started in 2020. I will never forget the historic, catastrophic pandemic which unfortunately coincided with my joining Kent State.
What are some differences you've noticed in being a graduate student (expectations, pressures, visibility, etc.) than those of an undergraduate student?
The major difference between being an undergrad and transitioning to graduate student life is being able to take self-responsibility about one's schedule and study.
What advice do you have for incoming graduate students?
Being more self-driven is a nature of being a graduate student which is not/less required in an undergrad student life.
