Where is your hometown?
Why did you decide to come to Kent State?
I decided to come to Kent State because I knew I would be able to reach my goals here, and that is largely because of the people. Everyone is so welcoming, and I saw I could get the kind of supportive and collaborative environment I wanted so much in a graduate program, which has been truly amazing while navigating the journey of grad school life.
What is your favorite place in Kent?
What advice do you have for new graduate students?
First, don’t be afraid to reach out to people! Having a support system can make all the difference in the world. Second, it’s easy to get tired or frustrated with the day-to-day, so it’s good to return to your big picture goals and remember why you’re here and what’s important to you.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love hiking, watching movies, playing piano and spending time with my friends, family and cat.
