HIPAA Basics - Kent State University (BC 1.0hr)

Information and records about our health should always be handled with great care. Good news! KSU offers a basic training course pertaining to exactly that. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is the main federal law that protects health information. This video course will provide a broad overview of Kent State’s HIPAA program and give you a basic understanding of this policy. Please watch the video, then review the links referenced via the HIPAA Sources and References section as needed. When you’re ready, you will need to take the assessment and score 80 percent or higher to complete the module.
