COF scholarship opportunity for Biotechnology, Medical Technology, or Environmental and Conservation Biology freshmen

The Department of Biological Sciences at Kent State University announces the Choose Ohio First (COF) Program and that provides benefit from scholarships and fellowship it offers.

The COF program provides scholarships for students in the Biotechnology, Medical Technology, and Environmental and Conservation Biology majors in order to promote career pathways in stem-life sciences. To learn more, go the website: https://www.kent.edu/chooseohio1st/career-pathways

Eligibility: COF scholarship recipients must be incoming freshmen (2017-2018 academic year) that are Ohio residents with a high-school GPA exceeding 3.0, and have declared a major in Biotechnology, Medical Technology, or Environmental and Conservation Biology. Renewal is subject to continued eligibility, progress towards degree, and participation in COF Scholar activities, including travel to Columbus for the COF Showcase each Spring. Students selected will receive an anticipated annual scholarship of $4500.
