What is Destination Kent State (DKS)?

DKS new student orientation is your required orientation experience where you will meet with your academic advisor to register for classes, make friends and so much more. You can register for your preferred DKS date in your admissions portal.

Registration opens Oct. 1 for incoming spring students and Jan. 14 for incoming fall students.

Placement Testing Before Attending DKS

You must complete any and all placement testing at least three days before attending DKS, before meeting your academic advisor. Information on "ALEKS," the mathematics placement assessment can be found here. Information on the foreign language placement assessment can be found here.
