There are a few more things you need to do before the semester starts:

• Submit your final transcripts and test scores. Ask your school counselor to send your final high school transcript with your graduation date—this is required to start classes at Kent State. To earn credit for college courses or Advanced Placement (AP)/International Baccalaureate (IB) exams, send your final transcripts or test scores.
• Register for Selective Service. If you are an Ohio resident male over the age of 18, register for selective service.
• Review and complete mandatory immunizations. You can find more information on our webpage here.
• Review tuition payment options on the Financial, Billing and Enrollment Center website.
• Request your chosen name. We recognize that some students use a name other than their legal name to identify themselves. We recommend you do this before arriving on campus. You can do this by logging in to FlashLine and following the steps below:
  • Select "Student" in the left-hand column.
  • Under "Student," select "Resources."
  • Under "Resources," select "Requests and Authorizations."
  • The webpage will be displayed; select "Chosen Name Request."
