Transfer Kent State is for Parents and Families too!

The office of Student Success Programs (SSP) is here to see both students and their families through the Transfer Kent State (TKS) New Student Orientation experience. Although required for all new transfer students, TKS is optional, but strongly recommended for any individual who will be helping to support a student during their Kent State journey.

In order to best support your student through their transfer process, we recommend taking the following steps that have been specifically customized for you:

Step 1: Register for KSU Live! Parent and Family Orientation

  • This two-hour virtual live show will equip you with essential information and resources that will help you to best support your student.

Step 2: View the Kent State Resource Hub

  • At Kent State, we have an abundance of support and resources for all students and sometimes it’s just a matter of knowing where to look.

Step 3: Join the Parent and Family Association

  • The Parent and Family Association will inform you of what is happening on campus and what opportunities are available to help your student enhance their campus experience.  You can also sign up for a monthly newsletter.
