Education Abroad for International Students

Kent State University offers over 200 education abroad programs to destinations in 60 countries around the world. As an international student, you can experience studying in a foreign country in addition to the United States. These international academic experiences range from as short as one week to a full academic year abroad. They are suitable for a wide variety of majors, and can often fulfill requirements for your degree major or general electives.

Kent State University Florence Program in Florence, Italy:

The Kent State Florence program is an excellent opportunity to engage in rigorous coursework while living in a historic city. Taught through traditional instruction infused with experiential learning, a high emphasis is placed on immersion within the international context of the material. In addition to the semester option, students can go abroad during the summer through the Florence Summer Institute.

Kent State University Geneva Program in Geneva, Switzerland:

As part of a special collaboration with Webster University, students spend a semester taking rigorous coursework that focuses on putting academic material in an international context. Students also have the opportunity to engage in an internship with one of the many NGOs in Geneva while studying with the Kent program. Visit the Kent State Geneva page for more information.

KSU Short-Term Programs:

Kent State has numerous faculty-led, short-term options ranging from one week to one month. The short-term programs change each year and vary by subject and location. Find your options by searching our program catalog.

Education Abroad Exchanges:

KSU offers exchanges to universities in over 50 countries. Use our program catalog, and search by the "Exchange" parameter. These program typically run for one semester or for one academic year.
