The NFL looks for players who make significant on-field contributions and demonstrate strong academic abilities.

PNC Bank, N.A., a member of The PNC Financial Services Group Inc. (NYSE: PNC) will start providing banking services to Kent State University students and employees in Kent, Ohio, on July 1, 2015. Under this new agreement, PNC will provide student and workplace banking, as well as financial literacy programs for the university’s more than 48,000 students, faculty and staff members for 12 years.

WKSU was honored by the Press Club of Cleveland with nine Ohio Excellence in Journalism Awards at a ceremony on June 5 at the House of Blues in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The station won four first-place and the best-in-show award for Best Newscast, which WKSU staff received for the second year in a row. Award entries were judged by a panel of journalism professionals from press clubs and news publications across the country.

Retailer bringing cost-saving options and expanded services to Kent State students and faculty

Kent State University has named Barnes & Noble College as the new operator of the Kent State University Bookstore at its eight campuses. The existing bookstore staff will stay on and transition to new management, which took effect May 18 for the Kent and Trumbull campuses and will take effect July 6 for all remaining campuses.
