The American Heart Association's HeartChase is coming to Kent State on Saturday, March 16 at 9 a.m. This innovative competition offers students, faculty, staff and community members a creative way to explore the university, have a good time and contribute to an important cause. 

About the Event

HeartChase is a new event that allows participants the chance to have an adventure, without having to leave campus, and raise money to support the life-saving work of the American Heart Association. The race takes several teams throughout the university where they are going to have to solve clues to complete checkpoints in the quickest time possible -- to beat the other teams and be named HeartChase champions! Teams will use a smart phone application throughout the race to track their points and the points of their competitors.

Prizes will be awarded for the winning teams as well as for the best costumes. With the event one day before St. Patrick's Day, show your Irish spirit with some fun green creations!

How to Register

1. To start or join a team, please visit www.heartchase.org.
2. Select 'Join the Chase'
3. Search for Kent, Ohio
4. Select the HeartChase Kent OH event
5. Click 'Register'
   

Each individual must pay a fee of $25 to register, however; if you raise $50 for the American Heart Association, your fee is waived. For more information, contact csi@kent.edu.
