Despite Campus Closing, Tonight's Men's Basketball Game Still On

Despite evening classes being canceled, the Kent State vs. Ball State men's basketball game will begin at 7 p.m., tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 10.

Kent State (17-7; 8-2) hosts Ball State (12-10; 6-4) on Wednesday night looking to complete a sweep of the MAC West for a second consecutive year.  The Golden Flashes enter the game having won seven straight. 

In a showdown of MAC Divisional leaders on Saturday, Kent State earned a 68-63 win at Central Michigan after overcoming a nine-point second half deficit to maintain its lead atop the MAC standings.

Senior guard Chris Singletary had a huge game with 19 points, a team high six rebounds and six assists helping him earn MAC East Co-Player of Week honors.  Its the second straight week and third time this season Singletary has been honored.  During MAC play he leads the team with 13.7 points per game while also averaging 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists.  Singletary, who has a 3:1 assist:turnover ratio (36:12) in the last seven games, is the only active MAC player with over 1,100 career points, 400 rebounds, 250 assists and 150 steals.
