Nominations Sought for First College of EHHS Hall of FamePosted Jul, 6, 2010
It has been many years since Kent State University’s College of Education, Health and Human Services (EHHS) gave alumni and service awards. Therefore, the college takes great pleasure in announcing that it is reinstituting service awards to recognize the accomplishments of distinguished alumni and the commitments of dedicated volunteers who have so admirably embodied the values and mission of the college. Those who win the awards this year also will be the first class in the new College of Education, Health and Human Services Hall of Fame.
The first College of Education, Health and Human Services Hall of Fame Awards ceremony is scheduled for the evening of Friday, Oct. 8, in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. More information regarding the event is available on the EHHS Alumni website at www.kent.edu/ehhs/alumni/hall-of-fame-awards.cfm.
The college is currently accepting nominations for the 2010 Hall of Fame Awards. Individuals are invited to nominate themselves, an alumnus or a respected colleague for an award to help celebrate the success and accomplishments of the college’s outstanding alumni and volunteers.
The seven award categories are:
• Centennial Alumni Award
• Distinguished Alumni Award
• Recent Alumni Award
• Diversity Alumni Award
• International Alumni Award
• Distinguished Service to the College of Education, Health and Human Services
• Alumni Leadership Award
To review the awards criteria and submit nominations online, visit www.kent.edu/ehhs/alumni/hall-of-fame-awards.cfm. The deadline for nominations is Monday, July 26.
An awards committee comprised of EHHS faculty, administration and advisory board members will review the nominations and select the recipients who will receive their awards at the October ceremony.
