Posted Jun. 24, 2010|
Congratulations to Stacy Grant, who was chosen to attend the 2010 Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Germany from June 27th through July 2nd. Stacy, a doctoral student in the Jaroniec research group, is currently investigating the synthesis, adsorption and structural properties of ordered mesoporous alumina and aluminum-containing metal oxides. The Lindau meeting, held annually since 1951, brings together over 650 young researchers in physiology, medicine, physics and chemistry from 70 counties; as well as 61 Nobel Laureates in the same fields. Nobel Laureates will present recent research ideas and reflect on their science careers in lectures and discussions between the two generations. Stacy's attendance at the Lindau meeting is sponsored by Mars, Inc. Further information can be found at www.lindau-nobel.org. |
